Emily is now a "professional dancer" having signed a contract with Grand Rapids Ballet Compaany
Her history.......
Over the past five years of summer intensives, I have visited many schools across the US, as well as international programs. Each improved my artistry however I believe Boston Ballet was the best as I experienced their summer intensive on a full scholarship. My technique was challenged allowing me to grow.
I appreciated every aspect of the program and recommend it to improve technique and artistry. I auditioned and was accepted into the year long pre-professional program where I trained six days a week and attended high school.
AND
I was cast as "Clara" in
Boston Ballets Nutcracker Ballet for two years in a row! I am so excited to repeat the role
300 auditioned....3 cast as Clara for the 44 performances with a
live orchestra.
Awarded December 2021

Summer 2018 I attended NYSSSA's month long program for Modern dance taking classes from Carolyn Adams, Julie A Strandberg, and Heidi Sperounis as well as master classes with Robert Battle & Earl Mosley. Each instructor gave me something important to work on. I have learned the proper way to treat a dancers body, how to choreograph using writings, how to perform safety rolls, how to strenghten my core. The history of dance was included. I have learned so much and am unable to choose a favorite moment because it was all truly amazing!! NYSSSA has helped me to become a stronger dancer...I am so thankful to have been able to attend.
I auditioned and attended the program again July 2019. I performed a duet, wonderful experience.
It was inspiring!
Also danced in a
Robert Battle piece.
He is artistic director of
